                  Marie Curie was born on 7 November,
                  1867 in Poland. She was the fifth child
                  in her family. Her father was a director
                  at a school. Her mother died because
                  of tuberculosis  in 1878.  Marie  Curie
                  started the primary school when she
                  was ten.  After that, she attended a
                  school for girls,  and she graduated
                  from this school with a good medal. In
                  1891,  she left Poland  for France and
                  she began her scientific career in Paris.
                  She got a  degree in physics and she
                  got a degree in mathematics in 1894,
                  too. In 1903, she won two Nobel Prizes.
                  She was the first woman to win a Nobel
                  Prize. Marie Curie visited Poland for the
                  last time in 1934. A few months later,
                  she died there.
